Effortless Cardigan DONE!

Since I saw the photo of this cardigan, I really wanted it. Finally I got yarns a week ago, started knitting. It was really effortless when it comes to seaming. I can wear it straight away.

I'm a fan of top down cardigan now. No bulky shoulder, more elegant shape.

Mojo loves me knitting. She just sleeps on my lap while I'm knitting. :)

I used Lion brand Fishermens' wool but I may use less hairy yarn next time for spring/autumn. This is a winter cardi then.

Red riding hood!

I made a red (well, it's a multi-color including orange) hoodie for my niece a couple of month ago. I used cheap wool, but still turn out to be good. I can't wait to see her in June. :))

Star Wars Blanket

These photos are taken last December. I made a blanket for my son (12yo) as he loved Star Wars so much. But by the time I finished this project, his liking has changed :(
I used a several different patterns from Ravelry then put them together. I learnt a few different characters from this blanket. haha

Hope he keeps this blanket for a long time. Well, we see.

I need to go somewhere cold with these mittens!

I made this mittens a few days ago. This pattern comes from Jared Flood (Brooklyn Tweed). I've never seen anything like it! This pattern is just beautiful! This was bit complicated but I managed to knit within 3 days. It's great for gift as well! I need to go somewhere cold to use these. I don't like cold though...

Falling leaves scarf

I was bored yesterday afternoon. So I knitted falling leaves scarf by sweaterbabe. It was great pattern and so little yarn used. I used old yarn which was sleeping in my basket. It probably took 3-4hours. It's wool, it's warm, looks girly!
I wish I can design my own design. That would be heaven.

This is the mitten!

Ok. This is the photo of Grove Mitten by Jared Flood. Isn't it gorgeous?! It only took 3 days to complete. So much details on one side, quite simple on the other, but elegant. A problem is though, where I live is not cold enough. I have to wait till holiday... or give them to my sister or mom. They live in Japan, it should be cold enough to wear.
Mojo is so cute... She must feel cold at night time, she invites herself to our bed every night. She loves warmth... Now she is on my lap. Maybe she just doesn't want to move.

Start of my blog

This is my first blog! yay!
I love my cat and knitting, and my cat Mojo loves Me Knitting! Weather is getting better for knitting so I start showing off my knitting project as I go! I have a few finished projects but I have a lot of project in queue. Question is... Can I keep up this blog? Well, we see!

Well, I just made myself a new hot water bottle. Apparently we have to change our hot water bottle every 2-3 years due to fatigue. I have mine for good couple of years, which wears alpaca cover. Now I made a cover using Jared Flood pattern of Grove Mitten. It looks good! I just want to show it off!

Camel Colour one is the old one (pattern from Lion Brand website). New one is dark brown/black colour one. I modified the pattern from Grove mitten (Brooklyn Tweed website). I used Brooklyn Tweed Shelter yarn which I adore! Knitting this pattern was just heaven!

By the way, Mojo is currently on human toilet training. (well, it's been 8 months) She can do no.1 perfectly, but not no.2. Today, she had a bit of constipation.... Sorry Mojo...
